I'm working with the city of Davis to bring the Purple Coop to more kids in our community through two new summer camps!
Join our Water Wizards camp where we will explore hydroponic growing, hydro-painting, water conservation techniques for the summer garden and more! Registration is open now and space is limited.

Welcome!
I started The Purple Coop in 2022 in Davis, California to provide outdoor learning opportunities and resources for students, parents, and teachers. Many projects are housed here for free to share with others in hopes of inspiring more kids and parents to get into the garden. I also include many posts written for adults who are managing garden programs or who may be interested in starting their own.
My goal is to engage as many people as possible in growing a garden, eating healthy food, and exploring creative ideas so I offer most of my work for free online and through my social media channels. This website was created specifically for that purpose as well. That said, if you would like to support my work and download some of the materials we've used in the garden you can visit the shop, or you can donate to my GoFundMe, or just Buy my a coffee as a simple way to say thanks. Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated!
