The Purple Coop uses a hands-on approach to learning that combines the practical wisdom gained in a garden with the creative exploration found in an art studio.

City Seedlings Garden Club!

Spring registration is now open!

Offered through the City of Davis, City Seedlings meets for 8 weeks to grow our spring garden at the community gardens located on 5th street in Davis. During this class we will cover a wide array of topics including pollinator planting, natural fabric dying, trellis building, composting, garden artwork, and more! This class meets on Fridays from 3:15-5:30pm starting in March!

Pioneer Elementary After School Garden Club

Launches in March

This weekly after school club will be for grades 4-6 who have an interest in continuing their garden education beyond 3rd grade. Hosted after school on Mondays, this club will dive deeper into topics covered in class and will also feature community service oriented projects designed and maintained by students.

Summer Camp!

Planned for June 2024

This summer through the City of Davis we will be hosting Water Wizards summer camp! Join us in the mornings over two weeks to learn about plants, harvest, cook, play games, and create garden crafts based on plant knowledge gained in the garden. There will be a special emphasis on water conservation, water management, water games, and water related arts and crafts that will make for a cool and exciting time for campers! More details coming soon!
